1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user's device to make them work, remember choices, or collect statistical and marketing information. Alongside cookies we use similar technologies, such as browser local storage (localStorage), to which this policy applies in the same way.
2. How we manage consent
On your first visit we show a banner that lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Google's measurement and marketing tools (Analytics, Tag Manager and Google Ads) are loaded and may write cookies only after your consent: we use Google Consent Mode v2 with a default state of "denied" for ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
3. Technical and necessary cookies
These are essential for the site to work and do not require consent (legal basis: legitimate interest and technical necessity). This category includes: storing your cookie choice (the "aven-cookie-consent" key, saved in the browser, with an indicative duration of 6-12 months or until deleted); the forms' anti-spam controls (the "honeypot" field, technical and without tracking); any session cookies needed for navigation.
4. Statistical cookies (subject to consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager to understand, in aggregate form, how the site is used. These cookies (for example "_ga" and "_ga_*", with an indicative duration of up to 2 years; "_gid", about 24 hours) are activated only after consent. Legal basis: consent. Disabling them does not affect your use of the site.
5. Marketing cookies (subject to consent)
We use Google Ads to measure conversions and the effectiveness of advertising campaigns ("_gcl_*" cookies, with an indicative duration of up to 90 days). To correctly link visits to campaigns we also store an attribution record (the "aven_attr" key, in localStorage and in a cookie, with an indicative duration of about 90 days) that logs source, medium, campaign, Google click identifiers (gclid/gbraid/wbraid), landing page and referrer: these are traffic metadata, not identifying data. Legal basis: consent.
6. Third-party cookies — payments
When you start a payment for the paid analysis you are directed to Stripe's secure checkout, which sets its own cookies needed to operate the payment and prevent fraud. These cookies are managed by Stripe as the payment service provider; for details please refer to Stripe's cookie notice.
7. Duration and withdrawal of consent
The durations shown are indicative and may vary with provider updates. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, which reopens the banner. Alternatively, you can delete stored cookies and data from your browser settings, or block them in advance: in that case some features may be unavailable.
